It depends on whether you are hourly or salary.
If you are salary, basically you are at their call.
However, if you are hourly, you will need to check with
your state employment service center as to fair labor
practices.

If you are working 10 days in a row for training, I'd say that is fine.
If you will be working 10 days in a row regularly with only a couple off at a time, I'd question rather this promotion is worth it.

You should get a couple of days off after that but other than that it could be a test to see if you can handle the big promotion!! Good Luck!!!

Sometimes I work 13-15 days in a row. If you want higher levels of responsibility, you ahve to make sacrifices for them.

Welcome to the real world. More power comes with more responsibility. I worked a job where I had to work 12hours a day & 7 days a week. It's hard but that what happens when you get promoted.

Salary or hourly, this condition is unfair. Is this why you were promoted? Many companies do this and never explain that the hours will be longer and may not be compensated for.

Just think of all the people who are unemployed right now. It's hard work but someones got to do it. Being a manager is not a cake walk.

it really depends on where you are working and where you live. .. but if you are working more then 8hrs in a day, or 40hrs in a week, you are entitled to overtime for the hours that are over the 8hrs or 40hrs a week.
