Do you think Harry will die when he finally faces Voldemort? Do you think the tie that he has with him will affect everything? Do you think anyone else important will die in this last one? I work at a library and I am already #92 on the waiting list out of 250 and we opened a couple days ago!

JK Rowling has stated that this will be the last fiction book set in the Harry Potter world (there may be reference books like Quidditch through the Ages to follow). This implies that whatever the ending, it's going to be decisive ie Voldemort or Harry or both will die.
JK Rowling stated that 'she would be willing to kill Harry in order to prevent future authors from writing sequels' (quote from HPANA.com taken from the summary of an interview). So why not? Given Harry's obvious hate of his fame, that Sirius and Dumbledore are dead, the fact that at least two characters will die (source: the same Richard and Judy interview) it is entirely possible that he would prefer it that way.

I preordered my book online the day it was available. I think ultimately Harry is going to live and Voldemort will die at the end of the book. I'm thinking that Dumbledore didn't die in book 6, he just created a hoax so that he can draw Voldemort in - and I think that Snape was in on it, which is why Dumbledore trusted him. Possibly Hermione or Ron will die, but I sure hope not! These are just theories. I'm even hoping that Sirius didn't really die. Can July come any sooner?!?

I dunna, there are rumours that he may die, some say that Hp is the horcruses of voldermorte, if harry dies then voldermort lives cause the phrophecy says that ione will die wghile other survives, sothe chances are that he wont die!!! Because ifhe dies, the book will go from top to bottom!!!!

I hope not, i believe Voldemort will be destroyed and Harry will be the most famous auror ever...maybe someday he will replace Dumbledore. I am of course an optimist :)

I don't think J.K Rowling wants to be killed by her own fans, so I think Harry Potter will live, yeah of course characters have to die, but not him.

i think he will. j.k. rowling doesnt want another author to pick up on his tale, and the easiest way for that is to kill him off. sad, but true.
