99.999% of the time it is just b/c your brake fluid is too low or too high. Check your brake fluid levels and adjust them accordingly. There will be a level indicator on the side of the brake fluid reservoir (usually a white tank). The lid (usually black) should say "DOT" on the top of it.

Then give it a few minutes once you start driving and if that doesnt do it, take it to a shop immediately. ABS can save your life.

On my GMC Safari van the manual says that if only the ABS light is on, it only impacts the ABS feature. My hydraulic brakes are just fine. Except of course I'd have to pump them if I was sliding.

Your vehicle may be the same. I've never had cold affect my ABS.

95% of time its a bad sensor...Sometimes they are junk right from the box..I got new one and 100 miles it went out..got a new one free but got clipped for 40 dollars installation. You Should have parts guarantee..And you can drive it without abs...there was no abs from 1890 to 1990s...pull the fuse if the light bugs you.My sister did that..no problarmo

If you recently had it fixed, it may be just something has gone out of adjustment. Cold shouldn't affect it. Do take it in and have it looked at since you don't want to be without brakes.

Check all the fuses first before doing anything.
