There are exactly three Prairie Provinces.

They are Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, from west to east. All are south of Northwest Territories. The Northwest Territories make up the Territories of Mackenzie, Keewatin, and Franklin.

Alberta is east of British Columbia. Its capital city is Edmonton. The largest city is Calgary. This province is south of Mackenzie Territory and north of Montana.

The capital city of Saskatchewan is Regina. Its largest city is Saskatoon. This province is south of Mackenzie Territory and north of both Montana and North Dakota.

Manitoba is west of Ontario. Its capital and largest city is Winnipeg. This province is south of Keewatin Territory and north of both North Dakota and Minnesota.

Also, Manitoba is the only province of these three that touches the Hudson Bay.
