That tired Ten-Percent claim pops up all the time. In 1998, national magazine ads for U.S. Satellite Broadcasting showed a drawing of a brain. Under it was the caption, "You only use 11 percent of its potential." Well, they're a little closer than the ten-percent figure, but still off by about 89 percent...

Whatever the source, such figures have no scientific basis except in the most limited sense. Serious brain researchers say that while we perhaps don't use our brains as efficiently as we might, there's no evidence we have vast unused abilities. Admittedly no one has ever tested all the tens of billions of neurons in a given brain. You've certainly got a few spares; otherwise no one would recover from a stroke. But attempts to map out the cerebral cortex, the center of the higher mental functions, have not found large areas that don't do anything. The general view is that the brain is too small (just three pounds), uses too many resources (20 percent of body oxygen utilization though it accounts for just 2 percent of weight), and has too much to do for 90 percent of it to be completely comatose. Obviously not all the brain is in use at once. At any given time about 5 percent of the neurons are active, the only sense in which the old saw is even close to true. (Good thing, too, or you'd have the equivalent of a grand mal seizure, a mental electrical storm in which all the neurons fire continually.) The parts of the brain are highly specialized, and some areas are more active than others depending on the task at hand. But all the parts do something, and it seems safe to say that over time you use pretty much all your brain, just as most people use all their muscles to some degree.

well, i read somewhere that our souls transcend and that we have unnatural phenomena stored deep inside. I also that there are people who could bend spoons and talk by telepathy.
I had a spanish friend once who used to send messages to her bf through her mind. My mom and bro. tried sending images and they succeeded by 60 or 70 per cent.
It all depends upon our energy inside our bodies. and the energy stored inside Earth.
Concerning our mind abilities if we used 100 % of our brains I believe we would be able to create more efficient technology to serve us in the future.
Maybe we would understand ourselves and each other more without consulting a psychiatrist and cure ourselves without a doctor. Or maybe remember things faster and for a long time and therefore if someone hurt us we will never forget it and we might take revenge for it one day. This might harm us a lot.
Being so smart can have too many damages u know. so we must beware how we use our knowledge.

What evidence do we have that we only use 10 percent? It has been said before, but I do not know if I believe that, since there is no humanly way to prove it.
Assuming that we only use 10%, we could probably do pretty much ANYTHING if we used 100%. I doubt that we would be able to predict the future though.

we do use 100%! that's one of those myths...it's just at any given time we're only using 10%. like while i'm writing now i'm not for instance remembering stuff from my childhood, so i'm not using the long term memory part....but i do at other times, u understand??

We might have to install red lights to show if we are overheating our brains, so they dont explode from all the info we would be able to retain.

they say you will have telekinesis powers, telepathy but we already are capable of telepathy we just doesn't know how to use it. and you could change your body's growing lets say you have a short, brown hair you could make it longer and even make it blonde.

We would be able to read minds, see in our mind's eye people we are worried about ,sense when things were not o.k. with people, we would have emotional and physical healing powers.
