Purchase the service
get the modem, plug it in
purchase and connect a router to the modem
access the router via the instructions to secure the connection.

You will need a wireless router or wireless access point (to be connected to your modem) and a wireless network adapter if you don't have a built-in wireless adapter in your computer.

just follow the instructions on the manual of the router and you're all set!
