The key is pitching like almost every other team. They have issues after Johan. But Garza and Bonser are good arms. They have one of the best closers in baseball with Nathan. Offensive lineup is one one of the best in baseball, even though most could not name more than three players.
They will win the division this year I predict. Way too early to talk postseason .

I agree with Mr. Clutch only because I think the Wild card comes out of the East this year. The Bosox are just looking too strong for the rest of the league. They should easily be the wild card this year. I think the Twin are going to have pitching issue if Liriano doesn't get healthy quickly. Santana is a stud but theres not much after him. Defense is good and you'll score some runs but Pitching wins Championships.

The hitting is looking nice and most of that lineup should be able to duplicate last year's numbers. Pitching will be a concern with the loss of Liriano. The staff features 3 very young pitchers. It will be tough for them to make the playoffs this year considering there's a very high probabilty that the wild card will come out of the AL East. Twins finish 3rd or 4th.

I think they have a shot. The favorites out of the central have to be the Tigers after last season and the Sheffield acquisition. The Twins have baseballs best pitcher but Liriano is down and a struggling offense won't help. The Tigers seemed to improve this offseason while the rest of the division stood pat. Sometimes you can't be happy with the status-quo.

It will be tough, and I'm from MN so I love the twins!
Detroit is just too good in my opinion. Liriano is out for the year, if he was healthy we would have a chance. I just don't have enough faith in the rotation after Santana.
Plus the White Sox will be nipping at our heels as well. Detroit will take the AL Central with the wild card coming from the AL East, so no playoffs for the Twinks. But I will be cheering all the way for them to prove me wrong...again!

I do believe that the Twins could make a very strong run at a playoff berth this year again. If their young pitchers can stay healthy (Bonzer, Liriano, Garza) and Cuddyer continues to drive in runs like he started to last season. Plus, they have probably the best closer in baseball, Nathan, to close ballgames for them. Now that they have a little experience under their belt, I think they are just that much more dangerous

I don't believe so. Too many questions in the rotation. Santana is awesome, but the rest of them ????? Good pitching get teams to the post season. I wish they would build a new park for the Twinkies, they deserve better than that horrible dome.

Yeah cause they kept Johan and if Liriano can stay injury free, the Twins could be a World Series contender this year.

I'll give it to the Twins organization, they seem to surprise every year with no name talent but that can only last so long. I think this is the year they fall off and play .500 ball. Losing Radke and Liriano really leaves them weak after CYtana and the lineup just isn't that powerfull.
