a python can take anywhere from a day to a month to shed depending on its size and how healthy it is. Just make sure that you keep its water dish full so it can soak if it needs to.

doesn't seem normal to me, I had 2 of them, and they took anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks.
Make sure to mist the cage every day with water, get a humidity gauge (can be found in most petstores, the dial kind, not the stick on the side of the cage kind) If you feel like it is really stressing your snake, get some warm water (not hot, not cold, remember their body temps adjust to the warmth/coldness around them) and soak them in it, maybe gently peeling off any that is loose (do not force it to come off if it is not ready) and continue to do this until the shed comes off.
Remember if you do this it is very stressfull for the snake, so do not handle it anymore than necessary when doing the soakings (for like cleaning the cage).
If the eye caps refuse to come off, go to a vet as they will be able to help.
Edit: Make sure the "Shed humidity" is around 60%, and normal everyday humdity should be between 40-50%, usually room humidity, some places are dryer or more humid than others though.

That isn't very normal. Check the humidity in the tank. The skin should come off in one piece if it doesn't then usually the humidity is too low. Also allow your snake access to a fairly large bowl of water so that it can soak to make shedding easier.

That's a long time. Make sure his bowl of water is big enough for him to fully submerge himself. It should also be a ceramic or glass bowl without sharp edges. Another option is to let him sit in a bathtub of warm water.
What kind of substrate do you have in his tank? Some of them help promote shedding better then others.
If his eyes are cloudy, meaning he still has eyecaps, you should take him to the vet.

You can help them with their sheds. She will probably shed within the next week. But make sure you keep her cage humidity up or her skin will dry out causing her to have a bad shed.

no thats to long,he needs help soak him in water for a day and then put him back in his cage.you should always soak them when they first start to shed and their eyes cloud up.then repeat a few times untill they start pulling the skin off. make sure he has a rough object in the cage like a log or something he can rub against to catch the skin and pull it off.

Mine usually did in a few days....Watch over his eyes. If you see a film over them he may have eyecaps, which is skin that hasn't come off and a Vet can give you a cream to put on them to help them come off. Enjoy your ball python. Mine was a laid back baby!
