devils lake is a small ,boring farming town,if you want to do something the closest place is Grand Forks, approx 100 miles east, there is a large indian reservation just south of town, and the actual lake called devils lake is a popular fishing and hunting lake, but not much of a lake for recreational boating/skiing etc. They have one local radio station which is country, all the other radio and t.v..stations come out of grand forks.hope this helps. I grew up in grand forks and have been to/through devils lake many times
