I believe that Iran has the right to acquire nuclear technology, after all, what gives one country the right to possess the technology and not another? If Iran was advanced enough to develop weapons with that technology, it would have a very large responsibility like all who have attained such weapons. America could destroy the world 50 times over with it's arsenal and Iran is very aware of that. Israel with it's unknown arsenal of about 150-200 weapons could annihilate Iran 50 times over as well. As for terrorists getting their hands on them, I'd be more weary of the former Soviet Union, China, and N. Korea selling them first. Iran is just "saber rattling" to protect its interests. Iran wants to be taken seriously and trying to preserve its way of life as it emerges as a power in the region. After all, would we have invaded Iraq if we knew Iraq had nuclear weapons or real WMD's? I think not.

Yeah, and exterminate the 99% of the Iranian population who didn't even want to do it?
Ahmadinejad and his cohorts may not be much interested in survival. They are awaiting the return of the Hidden Imam, who will come as a result of the last global conflict, and bring in an age of Islamist world government.
The Soviet Union wanted to survive, and so the doctrine of MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) inhibited them from using their nuclear weapons. The same is true of most governments, including Korea. I am somewhat concerned about the possibility of Ahmadinejad getting access to The Bomb.
On the other hand, he says he has a cure for AIDS, completely effective and with no side effects. So maybe he's an okay guy.

There's a lot of people out there that didn't learn a single lesson from WW II...specifically, the naive policies of appeasement that bring Neville Chamberlain to mind.
I often wonder whether certain leaders in Iran care that their homeland could wing up an uninhabitable radioactive zone for the next 100 years?

Why not Iran??? If one country has nuclear weapons, why not the other?? USA just wants to control the world!! If one country shouldn't have then no one should have them..

If Iran gets nuclear weapons, say good bye to Israel. Israel will retalliate and with nothing left to hit in Israel, they will turn their sights to the United States to extract their revenge.
