Rugby.

It's like American Football, but without all that wussy padding. It's hardcore, and definitely a lot more interesting to watch - for obvious reasons!

roughest sport to watch--------soccer! in many other countries you risk getting in the middle of a riot, molotov cocktails or darts to the face, and even death sometimes

roughest to participate in------------yes rugby is very rough, but for those who think football is wussy because they wear pads think again. The average career for a pro football player is about 3 years, and their life expectancy is about 20 years less than an average civilian. If they didn't wear pads, 20 or 30 of them would die each year and they would never finish a season because everyone would be hurt....it is much more fast paced than rugby and that results in harder hitting....not to mention better athletes play football.....i know people who have played rugby for 25 years and are still healthy....yes it is rough, but not nearly as physically demanding and physically punishing as football....you can see that with the naked eye if you haven't played both (i have)

UFC ultimate fighting. Fewer rules than boxing, lots of broken bones, lots of blood.

Boxing. No purpose in it but to beat your opponent to a bloody pulp.
