That is the only name that my husband wants to name our son. He really won't budge on it. He said for short we can call him Van (makes me think of Van Wilder) I think it's kind of cute, but not sure, plus I don't think I can change his mind. The middle name will probably be Lee. Thanks!

Honestly, I am not crazy about that name. But what is most important is that you & your husband like the name. Maybe he should look at some baby names & see if there is anything else that you both would agree on. The site www.babyzone.com has a great baby name directory.

Vance is a great name but if you are going to name him Vance and call him Van then name him Van. No need to give him a name you arent going to call him by. Van is a great name too.

I think Vance is okay, and Van makes me think of Van on 'Reba'. But I don't like Vance Lee, though. Vance Kenneth.

I know a Vance Hobbs. He's one of the biggest ******* that I know. I do like the name, though! Vance Lee is a good name, and unique.

Ellen DeGeneres has a brother names Vance, and that's who I think of when I heard the name from you. (Not that it's a bad thing really.)

I'm not crazy about Vance, but I like Van. Vance sounds like someone who prances to France in puffy pants.

Once I had a friend named Van Dylan Van-Arsdale. He was not very popular.no it is not a good name.

Vance makes me think of all the nicknames/teasing your son would have to endure in school. Vance rhymes with too many other words! Dance, pants, chance, nance, chants, rants, lance, plants, trance.. Please ask your husband to reconsider; kids can be really cruel.
