I personally am not nor are any of my family members or friends. I think that a bar of soap and water go a long way towards making an impression on the opposite sex. There is such a thing as good hygiene and self respect, which in itself is attractive.

Only ever knew two women turned on by SWEATY men, fact is that all Men's sweat is different and the pheromones given off to attract women are different just as women have different tastes in the way that men smell.

Basically if you are not her pheromone type , then to her you will just be another stinker.

However if you are her pheromone type (fresh sweat) then she will think that you are better that Brad Pitt/George Clooney.

For gods sake take a shower every morning and stay fresh if you want to impress.

If you are a stinker, you might impress but the odds are stacked against you, big time.

Well most answers that you have gotten are negative, but I'm going in the other direction. My BF smells like a shop when he gets home from work, and for some reason that smell drives me crazy! I love it! I can't wait to throw my arms around him and hug him. And as for his smell. Everyone has their own personal scent, a chemical, that is not BO, it just is them. And when he left for Afghanistan, I searched the closet and found every one of his shirts that "smelled like him" and either wore them to bed, or wore them out and about...it helped me get throught the time he was away.

I think it is 'the smell' itself that makes the connection through the nose of the woman ans 'sparks' off some response in a woman.

My ex had this thing about 'men in greasy overalls,' that smell, the dirty hands both used to grab her by the hormones.

My girlfriend likes a level / degree of 'smelliness' about me that 'switches her glands ON' and has her literally salivating. But then, she is a **** (My ****).

I personnally am not as i find there is no excuse for bad personal hygiene except LAZINESS!!!! and so many men are lazy in that department..many see good grooming as a gay thing, but theres nothing like a fresh washed male body to get me going!!!! also its amazing how many "greaseballs" are able to get women but i dont know how they can lie down with someone who stinks of BO! maybe they're just desperate women!

I much prefer my man smelling fresh and clean. However I once seen a documentary were tests of BO were done. Apparently there are four different types of smell - each individual has one. Each person can usually tolerate 2! So if your woman heaves while your around - maybe your not compatible!

Depends by what you mean by smelly.
If a man absolutely REEKS of B.O or aftershave even then this is a major headache to our sinuses and you can tell by the way we squint our eyes. However a LITTLE bit of mild NOT strong aftershave is good, usually one that's a little musky.
Also try using Lynx shower gel its smell stays to your body so that when you combine it with a simple deodorant spray (whichever you like however lynx is my favourite :) ) its like a cheap affordable and SUBTLE aftershave :D
Hope this helps you!

No way. Dirty horrible smelly men. Right turn off. Prefer nice clean men. Don't like smelly people in general, male or female.

Like accents, everyone says they haven't got one.

Pheromones are the same.

Some like one accent or pheromone.

Some like another "put on" accent or pheromone.

Pheromones are the smelly part of smell. Roman ladies had the sweat of gladiators bottled as perfume. Strange lot we humans are?
