Now that UK bankers can no longer use the thinly disguised method of unfair and excessive bank charges as a way to steal our money, what other devilish money making scams are they going to come up with in order to get their greedy and unscrupilous hands on our money?

With most people now having their wages paid into a bank account by BACS, charging for getting your money out of a hole in the wall seems to be becoming more common, and may well soon become the norm, on the grounds of staff overtime that has to be paid to make this facility available to us 24-7.

If you pay a cheque into your account it may well be decided by the banks that they need to charge you for the work thyey have to do in crediting the amount to your account. They may also decide it is necessary to charge you for the work of transferring your money from one account to another, such as from your current account to a savings account held with same bank.

Another good prospect looks like charging you for mistakes in your documentation. If for example you put the wrong date on a cheque, say by making it 2006 due habit when it is now 2007, that could well also levy a charge in future. They will say this sort of carelessness creates a need to employ more staff to correct your errors. Another good prospect seems to be to charge you for staff time used. For example if you need to talk to a personal banker, you may be charged per minute by time with him or her. "After All" they will contend if you see a Solicitor for advice you have to pay for time, so it is only right you should similarly pay for advice from a Banker (sorry may have typed the wrong first letter).

We must never forget the poor banks are only making about five billion pounds per annum profit, and the poor hard worked Directors are surely entitled to a rise like everybody else is?
