I do. There are many bands and artists that are super-talented. Many times they don't get the credit they deserve because they are seen as a "Christian artist". Of course, any crap that is played on MTV is automatically creative and seen as "good" music.

I don't watch MTV so I don't know what they are playing on there these days but I can only imagine it's some crap glamourized and spoonfed to impressionable teenagers. I think there are plenty of talented Christian artists... the problem is their songwriting skills seem to be a little off. Generally, most Christian bands stick to similar chord progressions in their songs which makes their music so much easier to play... especially by ear. I don't think this has to do with talent... it's just what they do for some reason. So I don't think it's always just because of the label "Christian band"... I think it's because a lot of Christian songs sound similar and more often than not, the lyrics can be quite cheesey.... it can sometimes lead people to think they have less talent. But not necessarily.

Well put!
I don't think it matters if you are a Christian artist, gay artisit, black, jewish, german artist. Whatever! If it is good music, it is just plain good music.

I do think Christian artists suffer and thats to bad. I think many people excuse their music and think that those bands or artists only have fans because of Christian followers and not because of their music. And maybe is some cases this could be true, but generally, I don't think it is the case.

Sometimes they might be even more talented but it's not based on talent but on money.
