Here's the problem: My dad is in the middle of playing Yahoo! chess when suddenly a message pops up.

The message says "IP Address is in conflict with another" or something along those lines.

When my dad closes the message, he gets logged off the game.

What does it mean when you get that "IP Address" message, and what should we do to resolve it?

goto start /run type following command
ipconfig /renew

This should fix if you are using dynamic IP addressing. If you are using fixed IP address then you have to manually change one of the IP address in conflict.

It means two machines on the same network have been
given the same IP address. Each machine should have
it's own identity, and thus it's own individual IP.
