I cried. Then, I got angry. I can't even begin to comprehend how someone could do that to anyone, especially an innocent child (that trusts their parents more than anyone). Gotta end this, gonna cry again.

So if we all think that this is bad, I think it is worse that NAMI and mental health will now come in and say that these poor people must be "mentally ill" to do some thing like this, look how they must be suffering, and all they really need is to be psychiatrically treated which means to take some pills so that they can forget about all of it.
Then the stigma goes to every one that has been given these false labels of mental illness as if anyone with one of them could or would do this as well, which is not true, anyone maybe could do this if they were ignorant and cruel enough, but not just because they have a label or do not have one.
If they in fact did this and did it on purpose, because a two year old could have wandered out by itself, then they need to be put in jail and never let out, I could say they need to be put 6 feet under, but then they would not have to worry about it any more. This is bad, please get us a link.
Many a parent has been a good parent and not done this kind of stuff before this so called parenting education came in from the mental health and ceritifying parenting isn't going to help. People use to understand that this was not appropriate and some good kind person in the community would have taken care of these people in the "right way" and made them an example of why we don't treat our children in this way.

You need a license to catch a fish or drive and a permit to build a shed. Unfortunately you need nothing to have a child. The parents should be put to death in the same manner that the child died. We should have safe parenting taught in high school. We should require psychological counsel ling before a couple can conceive a child. I live in Indiana and we are one of the highest child deaths from abuse in the US. All children deserve safe and loving places to grow up. Abused children sometimes grow up to abuse their children and so the cycle goes. I cry for them.

I think that the same thing should be done to him except they should somehow chain him to a tree. I could not believe that someone could be so cruel. What the heck did that poor kid do...wouldn't go to bed..the guy out to be shot. for the article check the Pioneer Press paper in St. Paul, MN...I believe that is where I read the story..

I just came across your question and this is the first I heard of it and to be honest I don't think I could hold it together to be able to read the story. I just want to go wake my 7 month old girl from her nap and hold her.
