Just reset your iPod or reboot it...on the top of the ipod is a hold button. move that back and forth like 6 times and land it in the same position as you started. Then hold the middle round button and the menu button or up botton on the ipod wheel...check your manual or itunes website for a better desciription. Remember to always click EJECT when you take your ipod off the computer. Just look around you will find it.

The problem's probably because you added new songs without ejecting. This happens on PCs and Mac's, which is why I use Unix. The Eject button/Safely Remove Hardware button should be on the bottom of the screen in Windows up to 2000 and in iTunes (assuming you used iTunes and not a program optimized for illegal downloads) for later versions. Can't help you with a Mac formatted iPod, sorry.

Plug it back into the computer.

Try resetting it. Toggle the Hold button on top a few times and then hold the middle Select button and the upper button down at the same time for a few seconds. It resets it.
