If they played like they did last night, Never. The problem with England's national team is theres not enough English players playing in the Premiership, and of course the team picks itself its the same old faces. Other nations like Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland uses players from the lower leagues like the championship. There are far too many foreign players in the premiership, there should be a limit to how many players a club can field. There was an interview with Steve McLaren last week on Talksport saying he wished Preston North End were in the Premiership so he could pick David Nugent So why can't he? its only the stupid old boys network from the F.A. thats stopping him from picking him.

Never! the sooner england fans come to terms with this the better. England have no flare, or technique what so ever, the only player with a bit of quality is Rooney (eventhough he is very over rated), and i doubt any team can win the world cup with only one star.

as soon as the manager can get them to play the quick version of football they play week in week out in the premiership.

by quick i mean quick passing of the ball and movement, not many teams can cope with that, especially not the italians who are current champions.

by the way a team only needs one star player too many and it wouldnt be a team just a group of individuals playing for themselves.

Not in the forseeable future to be honest.

If they can find a way to all play together, they have a great chance. I have lost faith over the years that this well occur.
