What was that sound?

I opened up the computer after taking it to my service provider for not being able to write DVD's and CD's on it ,and it made a horrible noise from within.They cleaned the Cd-writer ,but it was damaged in the first place.
Now everything is ok ,but I still wonder what that noise was .

Could have been a cable or wire that hit a fan and when you moved it it moved away.
