Well, you can use water drops (spray) and create a rainbow!
You can also use a diffraction grating to split the light into different wave lengths. A grating costs much more than a prism, but we are talking of the theoretical possibilities.
A poorly corrected lens does create chromatic aberration, which is a poor way of color separation.
