This question is for the moms ..will be..newly or have had more than one child. I have not actually taken a test yet. Im only a week and two days late. I heard its best to wait 3 weeks to make sure you don’t get a false negative. Anywho my question is did any of you woman have symptoms that told you ..you were pregnant before you took the test. A few of mine is really bad gas (sorry if that was too much info) Using the bathroom at least once an hour..hard for me to go number 2( didn’t want to go into to much detail) stomach pain feel like cramps but no period, and im having some other female discharge once again sorry..oh and bloted..But not sick to my stomach or feel like im going to throw up I heard that’s a man symptom but I don’t have that. I know sometime woman say there minds play tricks on them and it just period symptoms that are mistaken as pregnancy symptoms. But if anyone could help and give me some advise I would appreciate even if its just a list of some of your symptoms and when I should take a home test. Thanks in advance

When I was pregnant, both times, I swore I was going to have my period. I was having cramping like normal and my breasts were sore. The biggest thing that was different was that I was completely exhausted. I wanted to take naps, which I never do. Also, it wasn't so much that my breasts were tender, which is normal, but my nipples hurt! That was not normal for me at all :) The morning sickness did not kick in for me until I was about 5 weeks along. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks. I would go ahead and take the pregnancy test. Both times I was pregnant I took it the day after I missed my period and used the EPT digital that says "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant". I swear by it! Hope you get what you are looking for! Good luck!

A lot of my early symptoms were like period ones, only they came earlier and a bit more severely. Especially tender breasts and the gas (which no-one warned me about... oops!). By the time you're late a home pregnancy test should be able to tell you if you're pregnant as they are really sensitive now, and some can even tell you before you're even late. With your symptoms, and being over a week late, I'd say you should take a home test. Do it first thing in the morning so that your urine is more concentrated and will have more of the pregnancy hormone in it.

Don't worry about the too much detail thing either, if you're pregnant you'll soon get used to talking about all these lovely things as if you're discussing the weather - just wait until you have the baby discussions about diaper contents!!

With my pregnancies I knew I was pregnant because my body just didn't feel "right" to me. There's also tiredness, nausea, bloating, sometimes cramping, tender breasts. Unfortunately all of those symptoms can also be caused by PMS. One thing you can look for are bumps on your areolas that were not there before. That's a pretty good sign, but not all women get it.
Go on out and get yourself a two-pack pregnancy test. Take one today, Mine have come up positive that early before. But if the first one is negative then you'll have the second one to take in another week or so. I've done that before, because the waiting is absolute torture!! Hope I've helped some, good luck.

Hi, I am a soon to be mom, I am 25 weeks along. You can take a test now. I took my test the day after my period was due and got a positive result. Sounds like you really could be. My main early indication that I was pregnant was my mood swings, I always got a little cranky just before I got my period, but I felt like I was going crazy! I had extreme mood swings. But were all differant.
If you are normally regular, I would try the test now. Good Luck.

Unfortuanately, it is true- period symptoms tend to be the same symptoms as a pregnancy. I took my test when I was 1-2 weeks late and I had a positive test. I would take the test now, just to see. Take it in the morning with your first urine of the day because your hormones will be higher in that urine. In the beginning, I had to urine a lot but then I also developed HORRIBLE morning sickness for the whole first trimester. I am so excited to be able to hold my pee and food now! Good luck!

Yes, I knew FOR SURE I was pregnant a couple of days after I missed my period. Heavy sore breasts and very sleepy feeling I remembered from my other pregnancies.I don't know where you heard to wait the 3 weeks, but the tests these days lots of times will show a positive even BEFORE you miss your period.I took my test after just being about 4 days late and it turned positive before I could even set it down on the counter and look at the clock (it said check in 2 minutes). Go ahead and test!!

False negatives can be stressful, but pregnacy tests are relatively inexpensive. You might buy a 2 or 3 pack and try one now. You could even try one designed to be used "early" just in case. Pregnancy tests are very sensitive now. It's usually enough to wait until the day you expect your period, though if you ovulated late you could have a false negative even then.

I had really bad diarrhea a few days before I showed positive both times (6 year old girl and boy on the way).

None of those systems sound like pregnancy. Drink some water. You're constipated.
