Ok I wanna buy a Wii because of the cool controller. They dont have many cool games, at first glance but im open minded. I hear Zelda is quite popular, whats it like. I dont know if any of you have played Resident Evil 4, but is it anything like that, where you have to go along killing ganados/other creatures, in order to save someone at the end? Also, does it require learning combos ala Tekken, i hate that, I'd rather just aim and shoot.

OMG, are you in for a treat!! I own a Wii, and an Xbox 360, and previously owned both the Nintendo Gamecube and N64 systems. I've played Zelda games on all three of the Nintendo systems, and they're amazing! There are no major combos to remember in the Wii game (Twilight Princess), just some attacks you learn as you progress through the game which require some special timing. however, even that is fairly optional as you can just hack and slash through most of the foes.

Zelda games are similar to RPG's (role playing games) but are more adventure based in that you don't have to spend points to upgrade your character or anything like that. It's all about exploring the world around you, taking on quests, finding hidden items and solving LOTS of interactive puzzles. Oh and of course saving the world (and Zelda). The Wii game is great, and has some new additions to the gameplay format that make it VERY interesting to play. Without giving too much away, there is shape-shifting involved.

On the Wii itself, it's a great game system, and the controller is awesome. It's cheaper than any other system out right now and comes with a controller, nunchuck attachment, and a game(Wii Sports). The included game is lots of fun, and I find myself returning to it again and again whenever I have company over. The Wii and Zelda are both a great investment and you won't be disappointed!

well truthfully, the wii is mostly just a game you take to parties or something. Zelda is a very good game series that you should take a look at. Zelda is known for the long story line, awsome graphics, good plot, and lots of action. It doesn't require lost of combos. just a simple rememberance of what each button does. yes you have to kill lots of monster's in order to get the princess at the end but it's so long youll almost forget your on a mission and youll be thinking about how fun it is. I am still playing the ones on the n64 and luv em. Zelda is an instant classic.

It's fun! It's one of the best video game series you will ever play. I would seriously reccommend it.
