Is it possible that nothing bad happened to it due to that incident?

Usually, the first to show issues from a drop would be either the Hard drive or the LCD.

Since the hard drive has moving parts, it is easy for a drop like that to damage the platters(discs) inside the drive and cause problems in the future. This would only be a problem if the computer was running, and even then it is a fairly slim chance.

I would make sure all my important data was backed up, jsut to be safe, and then not worry about it.

It's entirely possible that everything's fine. Laptops are generally shock-tested by drops onto a hard surface. If your coffee table isn't too far off the carpeted floor and you haven't noticed any problems, you should be good to go.

Yes, entirely possible.

I dropped my Acer laptop once and its fine. Acer is known for its unremarkable build quality.

yup it might be okay. especially if everything is running alright. check all your drives and connections , and look it over for cracks, but it should probably be alright if it came on.

good luck!!
