The Republicans (NeoCons) support the troops as long as it's others who go to Iraq and do the dirty work for them. Just like Viet Nam. No different. All Republicans are not falling for this line of crap. Some are well informed and some have the education and will to understand they see the crap they are being fed by the Conservative bias news media and Rush on Radio.

Neocons don't "want" the troops to die for nothing. And they only die for nothing when our side chooses appeasement and surrender more out of convenience then it being a matter of right or wrong. Most libs I know do not think most anything you can imagine is worth fighting and dying for. Their basic premise is "I fight at the border or my front door." Good luck with that. The Islamic extremists have made it clear thru speech and actions that the only thing that will stop them anywhere in the world is force. It is amazing to me why the left can't understand that concept. I suppose their thought processes shut down when someone says they are dedicated enough to blow up men, women, and children in order to make their point. To stand and fight evil people has never been an easy proposition. People die in war so others can live and be free. Even if there were 10,000 insurgents and sect fighters, where is the justice in enslaving 25,000,000 people because of some religious nitwits want it so? This fight will have ramifications, most not good, far beyond the borders of Iraq. This is a test of will that may touch and determine the lives of hundreds of millions of folks in the entire middle east and the rest of the world. Walking away is easy. The high road is hard. War is hell. Been there. Done that. Victory has many fathers, defeat is an orphan. It does little good to be the most powerful nation on earth, militarily and economically, if we fail to protect our country and interests around the world. Ethically, this includes defending people who cannot defend themselves. There is an overriding premise here that most folks overlook. Something that has been fought for over the centuries which has literally cost the lives of millions. Its called liberty.

Why do you ask a question about two things that are not connected?
Good people=support our troops
Liberals=want our troops to die for nothing by running like Sissy's.
What don't you understand? Do you need help with simple things like this?

They'd only die for nothing if we leave prematurely and all the work we've put into Iraq collapses because the Iraqi government can't defend itself.
To believe no work or progress is getting done and we aren't benefiting from it is extremely naive.

A very big majority of them claim they support the troops because they believe it.Simple as that. They close their eyes for anything that conflicts with their idea of reality. It's really sad if you really understand it.Sad and dangerous

because you fail to accept the reasons doesn't mean there are none.
I would mention you may want to read the 9/11 commission because I know you haven't... better yet just this part.
