So concerned that I refuse to drive a car and instead ride my bike everywhere.
I was once offered a car for $1 and turned it down.
Is one less car that big of a difference? No. But my actions have already encouraged others around me to increase their awareness, and maybe one day get rid of their car. If our society only used vehicles for emergencies (ambulances), mass transportation (buses), and supply transportation (considering we already have instant communication across vast distances), then that WOULD make a big difference.
Am I an idealist? Yes, but that's no reason not to do the right thing.
And to the people complaining about freezing temperatures: That's what global warming is. Our climate will become more and more extreme, both in heat and cold. Global warming is not strictly just heating up.
What concerns me even more is the large amount of people that are either:
a) unconcerned
b) convinced its a scam without any research
c) glad for global warming because it signals the end of the world as prophecied by their religion

Among other things Global Warming causes the polar ice regions to melt that will release methane and poisonous gases and make the atmosphere unbreathable. Yahoo, probably the worlds leading climatologist, James E Hanson Columbia University. We have about 10 years to lower the temp or those gases will start releasing, as Hanson says the situation is becoming dire. Our present financial industrial system is loading the atmosphere with carbon which causes the global warming. Peak Oil will only exacerbate the problem. Unfortunately the corporate world is addicted to profits and like drug addicts they continue to pollute even though it will kill them and everyone on the planet. Society has gone lethally schizoid, the experts are now almost unanimous in their warnings to the world, but most Governments and the business media are carrying on as if nothing dire is happening. The business media make their money via advertising and most of what they write is for their advertisers, including the corporations using fossil fuels Check it out. Also yahoo Colin Campbell Peak Oil and make sure you get the original.

I'm not at all concerned about Global Warming. Look at it this way, to say that people contribute to Global Warming is like saying that we'd contribute to flooding if we dumped a cup of water into the ocean. Technically we are, but it's so minute that it doesn't even phase the earth.
Besides that, if you look at the temperature records for the past 200 years you'll see how the temperature fluctuates from Global warming to global freezing ever 40 or so years.

I'm not concerned about global warming at all. I don't like the high electricity bill, but I'm a Christian that trusts God.

Very concerned. Next car I get will be a hybrid. I wish that other countries would help China lay off on the coal - they have said it's too expensive to switch to another energy source.

there's nothing people can do - more greenhouse gases are released in one forest fire than man can do in 100 years. Yes, we're warming up but it's the natural cycle of the planet. Only human arrogance tells us otherwise.
