I'm 100% British, and its nice to read what both British people, and non-British people think of our country.

I think that recently there has been an anti-American sentiment from SOME British people. These tend to be the loud outspoken ones, unfortunately.
Otherwise, I think Britain is beautiful as a whole, the people have a very charming sense of humor, and for the most part are very kind, friendly people.
Historically, I can't abide what the British Empire did to the Irish People and many others all in the name of their King or Queen, when in fact it was no more then money whoring. Funny same as they and American liberals accuse Bush and his "machine".
So, I don't think Brits, can remember their own history. Okay, I am climbing down off my soapbox now.
Apologies to most British citizens who are as confused as I am these days regarding our safety, terrorism etc.

i think that we got one of the best places to be living in , always something to do and there is so much history. the people in Britain are friendly enough, but we also have a lot of foreigners so their is a wide mix of culture and religion. the only thing that is not so good in England is the weather

Can't wait to visit! Sometimes I wonder what it'd be like to be British. I love their accents and culture although it is too liberal politically and socialism is too prevelant. They seem like interesting people to me.

I love it, them and tolerate the culture.
Too many foreign tourists in London though. The asians and the germanic types are very rude and would be no loss if they all dropped dead.
