I didn't see Obama on Oprah myself, but honestly, unless she did a *really* good job of promoting him, I doubt many people will favor Obama because Oprah does. She has influence, no doubt; a recommendation by Oprah alone can put a book on a Best Sellers list, and skyrocket sales of any product. But picking a product is completely different than picking a President. His apprearance gets him positive attention, for sure, and may win him a few hundred extra votes, but not enough to cause a significant change in the results.
At least, I really hope people aren't so stupid that they'll vote for Obama without looking at the other candidates. Someone is hopefully going to vote for whichever candidate backs up their morals, and pays attention to the issues that person is concerned with. They aren't going to vote for someone just because Oprah likes him.

I think celebrities, especially someone as well known and respected by many as Oprah is can have a very positive impact for a candidate. Seems like there are those who hang on their every word. I just hope people think for themselves.

It means nothing. The people who watch Oprah would have been voting for him anyway.

In my own opinion, Obama is NOT a presidential candidate. He is, in fact a VICE-PRESIDENTIAL candidate, whom the eventual presidential nominee will latch onto as a running mate. It is not Obama's "turn" to run for president. It is Hillary Clinton's "turn". Mark my words: The ticket will be Clinton-Obama.

It could upset a few because they are both tied to Africa when it is the US that needs the help for money for schools, etc...I wish they would be more supportive of the US, that's all....Opray really is not doing any favors to Barack, especially when his roots are over there.

She has billions to pour into his campaign. It's probably just a "toy" for her to throw around some money and go to cocktail parties with her rich and famous friends.

It's her disturbed way of getting involved in politics.
