I usually do. If helping them doesn't put me in alot of unnecessary danger or go against my morals or beliefs. If a stranger needed help hiding from the cops... Sorry dude! However, I'd be glad to help someone carry something, look for something, or learn something. I trust my instincts and I find all of us people are somehow selfish, yes, but MOST are not dangerous. I'd never follow a stranger somewhere we'd be alone (little old ladies excepted). I've even given money to strangers in the supermarket, if I had the extra cash and they looked like they needed it but weren't mooching and weren't drunk or stoned. My husband witnessed a car accident and stopped to help until the cops and ambulance came. I think NOT helping people when it's in your power to do so, is sick and selfish.

Generally speaking because of our bring-up or education, we would throw in some help to a complete stranger who needs help. Some may ignore to give help because of fear of trouble or for some other reasons. But these are of the minority. I may not rush in to help if there are already someone who is giving the stranger some help. But even here, humans are curious, they will crowd around to see what happens and thereby either giving comments or advices at the sideline or chip in when their help is needed. I have experienced of strangers helping me by taking me to a clinic after my car was involved in an accident long time ago.

It would depend upon the circumstance. If the person were a woman with a stalled car on the street, someone elderly, or a small child I would call the police. I wouldn't attempt to do anything else other than that unless they were in immediate danger. Times have changed so very much now, and you could become the person in need of help by trying to help someone else.

Yes I would. In fact I have done so a lot. And yes, I have been hurt due to it, but I will still help someone in need. Yes there are some evil people out there who take advantage of people like me, but I will still help.

it depends on what kind of help your talking about. If someone fell down, then sure i would help them up. but if your asking if i would give a stranger some money just so they can go out and get stoned then no.
