You need to get it adjusted to run blended fuels. Until you do this, run non blended fuel.

Blended fuels have less energy than 'pure' gasoline, by about 8%. That is part of your problem.

The other part of your problem is definately the condition of your air, fuel, and spark systems.

When was your last tune up? How often do you use a fuel injector cleaner. When was the last time changed your air filter. Have you had your spark plug wires replaced or are they still original?

These things might not seem like much, but it would cause your vehicle to run rougher using a blended fuel. If you do these things, you might find that your vehicle isn't running as well as you think it is.

Supposedly 10% blend is 'supposed to' be safe in any gasoline fuel injected engine, but I constantly hear stories like yours, or "As soon as I use ethanol blend my check engine light comes on" is another recurring theme.

Bottom line, don't go to Sonoco or use any station with 10% blended fuel.

Why does it happen in some Explorers while others run just fine? Unknown.

i own a repair shop, and a lot of vehicles wont run this fuel, right now,i can tell you a way to make it burn it and it will run real well on it,change the spark plugs you have now oi a Bosch platinum plug they burn hotter, and will make it burn all the fuel, whats happening is your not getting a hot enough spark to burn this type of fuel, this can be because it may be in need of a tune up,or just weak spark plugs in it,id also have the timing checked on it,this will cause it not to burn it,but it should run as good on this as it does on regular strait gas, have it checked,i think,a minor tune up will help it,good luck,i hope this help,s.
