Hillary's socialist leanings will do nothing to help Americans in the pocketbook. Since she cannot really nationalize the oil companies, the only way she could take their profits would be to tax them with a windfall profits tax. Additional taxes against business do not bring prices down, but rather have the opposite effect. Prices would be raised in order to cover losses to the profit margin incurred due to those additional taxes. I have no love of the oil companies and their pricing structures and maybe we should start looking at possible price controls in the industry, but Hillary's statements are at best the dangerous and disillusioned rantings of a socialist dreamer.

Like all typical liberals Hillary uses deception to fool the ignorant the government does not produce anything they simply take a percentage of the goods and services produce by Americans and redistribute it very inefficiently.
Those lunkheads out there that think when the government punishes companies with windfall profit taxes where does these companies get the profit from! the American people if taxes go up on their profit they simply raise their prices to offset the taxes so who ultimately pays for the windfall profit tax, yes you do, democrats please stop drinking the kool-aid.

If you support Hillary's plan you should also support taking profits from all other successful businesses and use them for some type of perceived social need. Example...take profits from candy makers, video game manufacturers, movie/t.v. producers (and actors) and the like to fight obesity, since it can be argued that they all lead to the expanding waist line in this country.

Bush actually passed tax cuts for major oil companies to drop prices. If they refuse to drop them down now, then they probably won't in the future. I personally think they're abusing the cuts.
