Why is that so many people come on here looking for attention, asking stupid questions, like can I feed my dead cat to my kids, and we stoop to their level and give them the attention they are looking for? It seizes to amaze me, just for 2 points, that people spend time answering these stupid questions where there are other great questions that others are asking. I just think when someone asks a stupid question, just ignore it. They will continue to ask stupid questions if they know they can get a rise out of people.

If you don't want to answer stupid questions don't, it's really up to you.
For me it depends on what the question is, how far fetched it is and if I'm in the mood to vent, ignore or make fun of the person's intelligence. This is not a licensed practice that offers proper advice (some people are very rude and unfeeling), it's more of a pass the time and maybe give or get great advice. Most time the insults are quite funny and is directed at the person. It's almost like a group standing up for what they believe to be wrong and letting the questioner know he's ignorant and beyond help.

Sometimes it is great stress relief to answer the fake questions. You can say whatever you want! You can say the mean things that you don't normally say, but want to.
Like I really want to tell the person who asked about the flat head off. Because it is so ridiculous that parents do not hold their babies. It drives me insane. I know a mom like that who will NEVER pick up her kid he was ALWAYS in the bouncy seat, playpen, stroller or crib. He had a flat head but luckily it was caught early and between the public health nurse and me we put the fear of god in the dad.
He is still developmentally behind and even the dad will say it is because they don't do enough with him. He is almost 9 months and just learned to sit.
So next time I get a dumb parenting question I can call someone a bad parent and then I will feel better.

I answer all questions I can. I haven't ignored a question just because I was off answering a stupid question. What amazes me is that you would waste 5 points asking a stupid question that is asked at least once a day or more. You are also giving them the attention they crave by devoting a question specifically to them, so you are just as guilty as us who answered the question.

I see this ques. quite a bit-I can only speak for myself. Sometimes I feel like being a wiseass. What's wrong with having a little fun? There are also tons of well thought out ligitimate questions here. I answer those as well if they gain my interest. That's one of the cool things about this site. There is something for just about everyone. If you don't want to deal w/ jackhole questions-don't answer them. If you don't like the answers to the questions you pose, you have the right to ignore them. If you only get moronic answers to your ques., then maybe it's a bad ques.BTW-who are you to say that I, or anyone else for that matter can't have a little fun? There is plenty of room for all. You may not like my answer. You know what? You don't have to. And, I don't have to like your ques. That's the beauty of this place. Hope I was able to help. I'm not trying to get on your case, but that's my opinion.-Good question.
