I have Windows Vista Home Premium and its great. The security is much better than XP, I love the new Windows Aero 3D Flip where you can see all the programs that are open in 3d by pressing start-tab.

Good luck.

My understanding is the Vista is a resource hog because of the Aero interface. I'd rather make do with XP and have programs run faster.

Driver and program compatibility is also an issue. Presumably most will eventually be upgraded but "eventually" is another way of saying "not yet".

I am also hesitant to buy any Microsoft product before the first Service Pack comes out. They seem to have rushed Vista to meet a deadline and I suspect that a number of flaws will soon emerge.

my stance in the route of vista is impartial. some effective factors are solid, some arent i love xp better effective than vista because it makes use of a lot less gadget aspects, and has a sparkling, user-friendly-to-understand interface the major benefit to vista is the added "protection" (how sturdy i don't understand) and the interest-sweet. i actually have a severe-end sony pc on vista (new) and an older custom-outfitted pc. i detect it disappointing that the boot time on the computer is in hardship-free words about a similar because the custom-outfitted pc it truly is 3 years previous (yet runs xp). on proper of that the computer has double the RAM, and a cpu it truly is a minimum of three cases better sensible than the only on the personal computer.

Yes ask NVidia how much they love Vista....

Also ask Sun how much they appreciate Microsoft borrowing the Aeroglass from their desktop.. Innovators, I think not....
