CHICKEN A LA KING 2 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. flour 1 c. chicken broth 1/2 c. milk or cream 1 c. cooked chicken 1 c. cooked peas 2 oz. sliced mushrooms 1 cooked carrot, diced 1/2 chopped onion 1/4 tsp. salt & pepper 1 pkg. refrigerator biscuits Preheat oven to 425F. Melt butter & blend in flour, cook to make a roux. Add chicken broth & milk. Cook and stir until thickened. Add diced chicken, mixed vegetables, salt & pepper, until bubbling. Pour into 1 quart casserole. Snip biscuits into thirds; place around side, against edge. Cook 8-10 minutes at 425 degrees until biscuits are cooked.
