Tim Howard played great??? Mexico couldn't finish the shots thats it. Sanchez did not play bad. One luck header and a pass from the ref that lead a one on one. The US is a team of oppurtunity and chances. THey can't dominate anyone on the pitch. They get away with thifery when they win. It's no luck when you serve a perfect corner to an open defender. It's mainly good skill on the cross and lousy defending from the Mexicans.
As for the second goal, the ball didn't go straight to Donovan. It deflected off the ref BACK to Clark who then passed it up to Donovan, who juked two defenders and dribbled past Sanchez for the goal.
Plenty of skill in that sequence, but, oh yeah, I forgot... It's impossible for a fan of el Tri to give American players any respect because they feel it is their birthright to see Mexico dominate on a soccer pitch.
Learn to accept that soccer matches are won with goals, not pretty dribbling and passing. It takes discipline, endurance, concentration, and will, things that el Tri was missing last night.

It's not LUCK we own Mexico!!!
If you can't score with the opportunities you are given then you dont deserve to win. Thats true in every sport.

That corner was a work of art, beautifully bent, Conrad losing his defender and placing it in the back corner.
The pass from the referee, was actually a pass back from a Mexico player that hit the ref and bounced directly to Donovan, who then burt the last defender and made the keeper sit down, to place it in the goal.

Maybe Mexico should stop trying to pass the ball to the ref! :)

Tim Howard is the Best Goalie in the WORLD!!!! With that goalie, you can't lose. Landon was running like a scared chicken the whole game, and when he got his breakaway, he just did his best to not get taken down. Anyone with speed could of scored that goal. USA is good, but I think that Mexico beat themselves this time. Hugo Sanchez should of never taken Blanco out!

ok so the guy was standing there and the ball just landed on his head and went the very corner of the net. the guy kicking the ball placed it perfectly and then guy that headed the ball made a perfect run, losing his defender in the process.

usa is a better team than mexico.

If Mexico had 10 opportunities for goals, and the U.S. had 3, and the US won 2-0, then the Mexican goalie played like **** and the American goalie played well.

STOP MAKING EXCUSES! I know that Mexicans hate America because it is so wealthy and powerful, and the standard of living is so much higher, and life isn't cheap like it is in Mexico...
