Why is it that gay Asian men seem to get screwed over in the dating pool so often? It's like as soon as you say you're Asian, gay men suddenly lose interest in you and assume all these terrible things. I've had guys tell me I must be this or that...all because I'm Asian. I've had great conversations with guys over IM, but as soon as they find out I'm Asian, the conversation comes to a dead-end. People I was planning on going on dates with...or just meeting to chill in the city...all of a sudden say they're busy or tired or something else. It is really depressing. I know we're not perceived as being attractive (especially next to Caucasian men)...but are there any decent gay men who are able to look past that? And I hate all the stereotypes...someone once told me that being an gay Asian guy means you're a feminine queen. The only guys who've been interested seem to be old, desperate losers. It's so offensive. Do gay Asian men have it the worst? Is there any hope for us?

I completely disagree -- I think Asians can be some of the hottest men in the world. I had a tremendous crush on an Asian friend for years when I was young. We were very close friends -- and it was years later that I found out that he (who was very shy) also had a huge crush on me. :-( but we are still friends, and he has a beautiful Anglo lover now, and I am very happy for him.
At this point in my life I've been partnered for 15 years, but even if I weren't -- you wouldn't be interested in me, as after all, I'm one of those old (late 30s now) losers. Still, I've always thought Asian men were the hottest, and I'm sure you are no exception. Don't be down on yourself, the right man will come along.
I'm full blooded English by the way, though my families has been in America for hundreds of years, so I am deff. Caucasian.

Maybe you shouldnt tell people that you are asian... make them find out when you meet them? Then they will just have to get to know you as a person and not judge you on the colour of your skin? Can you talk to people about yourself without saying that you are asian?
And where do you live? I take it that you dont live in Asia?
Come and live the UK, we love every kind of gay man here... well almost!
One other thing... may be you are just attracted to the wrong kinda man???

I love ASIAN men. That just what I"m into. If I can find an Asian man, that great, I hardly seem to be able to see any. I prefer Asian men over all others. There is something about them that just turn me on.
But there is a niche for everyone, it might just take a little time to find that person.

The reverse is also true, you will find plenty of people who fetishize Asian men for reasons that are BS.
Don't feel sorry for yourself, there are plenty of good people out there, just keep hunting.
You should also stop calling the people who are interested in you "desperate old loosers". That's a poor reflection on you.

Hey bro... I just stopped by to sympathize... thats got to suck...
Im a heterosexual guy, but I absolutely adore asian women. And, it has not escaped my attention that most women (other than asian women) do not date asian men - unless they are mixed race. I cant figure it out myself....but Id be willing to bet the gay men dont like asian guys for the same reasons.... But there is ALWAYS hope man...
Please forgive this suggestion, because Im am not homosexual, so I dont know how you guys fly, but....some guys like asian transexuals..... maybe if you dress up like a girl, you could get some guys??

I had an Asian boyfriend for a short while and I loved him deeply.
He was a sweet and kind boy, but his gorgeous body and his complete sexual confidence and ability that drew me to him. We went to bed together on our first date.
Slim young Asian males are perfect dates as far as I am concerned -- slender, cute, and sexy. Don't ask me to look past your body and see your soul, because it's your body that attracts me. I'm sure your soul is beautiful as well, though.
