You will have to do a safe recovery in DOS right at the beginning when you first turn on your computer....you have to press the F key they request...you have to be quick about this. then it will lead you to do a system restore back to when you had windows.
This MIGHT work, but if the windows OS is completely gone it may not. You may have to call the people you bought your computer from..like Gateway, Dell or whoever and tell them what happened. They may be able to either ship you a new disk or walk you through the safe recovery if that is still an option. Also have them help you to make a recovery (boot) disc once you get all this done.
Lesson Learned:
1) Make a back up disc of your OS
2) Stop deleting things that you're not sure of what they do.
3) Learn how to defrag and clean up your system in other ways.
4) Work only with the tech people who built your system. Not your best friends cousin's boyfriend.
I don't mean to be harsh....I know how frustrating it is. Good luck to you.

You could potentially try a recovery program (RecoverMyFiles) but I'm guessing it wouldn't help for recovering the entire operating system. You might want to contact your computer vendor for a system recovery disk. I've read posts where people have contacted Microsoft for a media kit (install disk) by providing their MS license (generally on a sticker attached to the computer case) but I have never known anyone who did this personally.

The only remote possibility is to do a system restore.. Restore the computer to an earlier period of time.. To before you deleted what you did. If that doesn't work.. Than no.
