Because no one is trying to improve.

Money does not improve life, no matter how much you think it does. How about this? We go and give everyone in the ghetto two hundred bucks for whatever they deem fit, and then watch what they buy with that cash.

First you have to understand these two cities were almost totally destroyed during Katrina. I'm not talking just flooded, I'm talking blown away down to the slabs. But the Bay St. Louis Bridge on Hwy 90 is in the process of being re-built as well as the Ocean Springs Bridge on Hwy 90. The casinos have been rebuilt and people are beginning to rebuild their homes. You also have to understand that the insurance companies REFUSED to pay for the damage saying it was caused by water and not the wind. Just last week, after being sued in a class action lawsuit, State Farm has agreed to pay for damages. Hopefully this will speed up the process so people can start to rebuild their lives. Nobody wants to see this area get back to the way it was more than the people who live here. And we are really working on it. It just takes time.

There needs to be people who want to move back into those neighborhoods before anything will happen. Trust me, if it made sense, somebody would already have bulldozed the whole thing and started building houses. The people who lived there have largely pulled up stakes and moved elsewhere.

Its no ones fault unless you can find someone responsible for the hurricanes.

Will the fault lies with Bush Administration. If the gulf coast was a separate country the U.S would have you all ready re-built it by now. Its a disgrace
