I'm a Jamaican and also a Christian and in our Country we don't accept Homosexuality. I been around friends that don't have any problem with it and others who think that Homos should be dead. Not because I'm a Christian, I don't have any thing agianst Homosexuals, I think that some people should shut up for once and really accept these people for who they are. The fact is that they are also Human Beings and need to be threat equally.
My opinion is that its up to them, thier Priest and God.

In my opinion, people judge other's out of ignorance and fear. If these people allowed themselves to be free of what is the "norm" in society, then and only then, can they open their hearts and minds and see how infantile their thoughts and feelings really are.
I totally embrace the differences that make up the human race. I would not, for one second wish to be pigeon holed or held back because of what society claims is the right path in life.

Good for you. You are a loving person and that's what God has told us to be. I agree with you about not disliking someone because they have chosen to practice homosexuality. God loves them and I do too.
But, you must know that our bodies were given to us by God as a way to be able to exist on this earth and for the indwelling of His Holy Spirit. When anyone missuses their body in a sexual way, or any other way. They are dishonoring God, themselves, and other people. Any type of sexual promiscuity is so unhealthy. It brings on diseases and sadness.
I would rather, have them understand that we all have sin problems. Me included. We are born into a world of sinfulness. WE ARE ALL BORN SINFUL. That is why Jesus came to the earth, lived, suffered and died. Because of our sins.
If people are told about Jesus, how much He loves them, about His death and resurrection for them, they can accept Him as their Lord and Savior and He will change their desires.
This is our job as Christians. To tell the world about Jesus. Not to judge them.

It's human nature to judge those who differ as inferior and something to shun. Not to mention most people I know can't stand pushy, in-your-face people. That's what this "issue" has become.

You are about the only christian I have seen on here that even if you do not agree with our lifestyle, you still think we are human just as you are.
Also this isnt to you, but to the ones who quoted "god made adam and eve, not adam and steve". can't you guys come up with something better then that?

i used to stand against homosexuality, but now i don't, you're right they're also human beings, and that we should accept them for who they are, but i think that only works for those who BORN that way (as gays) for those who turned to be gays (while not born that way), i do think that it's just not right, and sinful, for whatever reason.
Now you're a Christian and so i am, let me ask you a question, you said you don't have anything against homosexuals, so you DO think that it's alright to be gays, while not born that way? well for me, i don't think so.
So my opinion is actually "it's not up to them, it's up to God, their Creator, he let them exist for a reason. If you say it's up to them, then it's the same as saying that it's right for a straight to be gay. But i believe that homosexuals should be accepted in the communities, they're human beings after all.
p.s: i like the idea of the homosexuals exist to push down the number of the population
