I think it is you that should be answering this question.. You sound
as though you have some doubts. If you buy a relatively good looking artificial plant they don't look too bad. The dreaded ficus trees just don't cut it for me but the Bamboo trees or tall plants can be beautiful and look very realistic. I have one and I clean it out in the garage with my blow dryer.

If you can't keep real ones healthy, they do a great job inside. They can go up high where real plants can be hard to get to. They can be pricey, but they last so long and you can get stuff to clean them if they get dusty. Green can make a room come alive.

it really depends on the quality of them.. some are real looking and some look like just that an artificial plant.

I prefer live ones, but there are areas of my home where live plants aren't feasable due to lighting requirements. I'd like to have one here at my desk at work, but it gets too chilly in here over weekends to really keep anything alive!
