My doctor just prescribed me a second dose of clomid for 100 mg.

The first time did not work? I am just got my period on the 6th and he told me to start taking them on the 5th day of my period.

I want to know if anyone had a problem conceiving the first time on clomid and if the second time they had any luck.

The first time I took Clomid (50 mgs), I got pregnant that month. Unfortunately, I had a miscarriage. I then took it for 8 months before I conceived again. I had started at 50 mgs, but it was gradually increased and by the time I conceived I was up to 250 mgs. I had a full-term healthy girl. I am 9 weeks pregnant again. It took me 6 months on Clomid (each only 50 mgs.) to get pregnant this time. There is another drug called Femera, that works the same way as Clomid, but supposedly doesn't have the side effects. If you don't conceive on Clomid, you can suggest switching to Femera with your doctor. Also, I always took Clomid from days 3-7 of my cycle.

I've been on chlomid twice..
My first pregnancy I took 5 pills and got pregnant (the first month).. 50mg.
That was the easy one..

2nd time.. I was on chlomid for over a year.. and kept upping the dose til I was on 150mg.. and after 1 year no luck. The ob/gyn said that after 6 months, they usually try something else, but I wanted to keep trying on that.

I ended up going to an infertility doctor.. and he had to put me on glucophage, and did a quick procedure where he cleared out my tubes with dye.. (It didn't hurt.. but was a little uncomfortable for about 3 minutes).. and I still didn't get pregnant. We spent about $10,000 and I had to get about 500 vials of blood drawn, and about 75 internal ultrasounds with him.

I decided I couldnt' take it anymore.. I stopped going.. and I gave away my maternity clothes and my crib.
And got pregnant by myself two months later.
HA! Life is funny!

Properly timed coitus in relationship to ovulation is important. A basal body temperature graph or other appropriate tests may help you determine if ovulation occurred, then get to IT! :)

I wish you luck and hope you can relax about it.
