USA without a doubt. And sorry to say, the "royal family" seems to have turned into a bunch of titled Paris Hiltons. What do they really contribute anymore besides fodder for the media rags. I don't mean that as an insult, only a frank observation based on the content of the coverage they get.

Neither - I hope!
As a "rebellious Scot" and no royalist I resent the UK anthem even though the verse exhorting the monarch to crush us is now generally omitted. However, ditties proposed as Scotland's anthem in the event of independence from UK are pretty dismal too.
How about the Euro "Ode to Joy"?

I'm not really crazy about either. The Star Spangled Banner is a warmongering song about an obscure battle in an obscure war, that really says nothing about America. And God Save the Queen isn't a song about the UK, it's a song about how wonderful _insert current monarch's name here_ is. I'm American, so of the two, I prefer the Star Spangled Banner. But in my opinion, neither anthem does a very good job of representing its country.

Britian would win if we changed it to the Sex Pistols 'God Save the Queen'. Seeing as we haven't though I wouldn't listen to either out of choice. How many people really like their national anthem? I've never heard of anyone buying the CD and playing it on a daily basis.

I'm British, but i would say the American one is better.
I prefer the tune plus i actually know most of the words (apart from God save the Queen, i don't know any of the words of ours, I barely know the tune).
I'm pretty anti the royal family so that might add to my dislike for the UK one.
To be fair, I'm not a fan of any national anthems, apart from at sports games when are they actually sung? :P
I'd like to know the others from around the world though, might be interesting.

The American is very difficult to sing. In fact you have to be a professional to sing it. The UK anthem anyone can sing it. It will never go out of fashion cos the football supporters sing "god save out gracious TEAM" . SAD BUT TRUE.

The French is the best one. Then the american.
The british tune was borrowed from Luxemburg and the words were written in honor of a german king of England. So you are write to say it a symbol of the royal family as they are more german than anything else.

Well, at least you can sing God save the Queen or Britannia rules the waves... which is more than I can say about the Star Spamngle Banner.
Personally, I like Waltzine Matilda... best national anthum in the world,.
