I am planning to make a website.. my only prob is that I can't understand what kind of site to make.. as of now I have decided to make a website through which I'll be able to make money... But I still have no idea as to what kind of website it should be... Can someone give me any suggestions as to what type of website I should make which would be profitable to me?

Sorry to say this Mo, but regardless of whether you have a business at home, a brick & mortar, or a web site, YOU MUST HAVE A PRODUCT or service to sell. You can't just have a website and say you're in business.
Don't be fooled by the hype. People don't get rich on the internet unless they provide some new and exciting product, and have the skills to market it properly and get visitors...PERIOD.
My advice - FIND A REAL JOB until you hit on the magic formula: Your interest + great (unique) product

Everyone is looking for for the golden goose, but not many want to work very hard to find it. Find something you are passionate about and work hard at that.
If you find something that pays lots of money for doing nothing, it's probably illegal.

The best way to make money on your website is selling things. You can go to one of the stores that sell nothing over a dollar, and then sell them online for more.
