If so, can the people that take in this youth make any
decisions, like registering them for school without any
legal documentation ???

I do believe the court will listen to a 16 year old in regards to who she wants to live with. Especially if that person is her mother or father. There has to be legal documentation for them to enroll you in school.

No they have to be 17. At least in Goergia. So you do have a little more time to be the decision maker for this child.
