My household appliances. The constantly taunt me. I fear they are planning a takeover.

You're afraid that you're not sure of a love that has no curfew.
One of the downsides of getting old is that your hearing starts to go a bit awry.
Actually, I'm afraid that one day I'll go to answer a question and all the other answers will be one liners.
Or at best, one and a half.
Then I'll know I've descended to Dante's sixth level - the level where the "I'm only in it for a quick two points and don't want to put any real thought into my answer" folk dwell.
But don't tell them I said that. They're very sensitive.
