Whenever I go into the bathroom and the lid is up, I drop it down so it makes a bang, and then I hear a chorus of Sorry ma! It works for awhile, but, basically, lost cause.

I would put the seat down, do my business and then I would come out and remind them to put the toilet seat down. Or, wait until the have the runs and when they really have to go and lift the seat up so they can feel their a-s-s hitting the cold water of the toilet and then they can wish for the day that they never let the toilet seat up.

I will have you know that there are actually some of us guys out here that have some consideration for ladies and their need to sit when in the bathroom. I myself have always put the seat and lid down after doing my business in the bathroom. It is only a common courtesy, from my point of view. Perhaps the guys you live with are just not trained yet, or are of the non-trainable variety.

My guys are pretty good about keeping it down. But I gotta share this cuz its hilarious. When I lived in Military housing in Germany the apartment walls were like paper. I could hear EVERYTHING that went on upstairs. Including pee hitting the toilet. My friend/neighbor could hear the same and one day her upstairs neighbor asked if she could hear anything when they used the bathroom. She was honest and told the upstairs lady only when the boys of the house went could she hear it. The lady got all embarrassed and told her "well from now on..they are sitting down when they pee" From that day on, my friend never heard them pee again.......Here's a soldier who can go to Iraq for over a year but he's gotta sit down to pee....God Bless him

No, I don't....my husband and two boys always put the seat done, including the lid before flushing. We taught our boys to do this when they were potty training and to them it's just the right thing to do.

I wouldn't say I moan...but I do yell about it. Its the most annoying thing that a guy can do.
