So often, the same questions are asked again and again on this web site, mostly by illiterate individuals whose English leaves a lot to be desired and always sensationalistically obsessed with the shock value of gender transition? Get over yourselves. Do not use yahoo to advocate your own bigotry!

Creole,
I respect that you have a choice to do so, but so too do the people who experience transsexuality and if you wish them to respect YOUR choice, so you have to respect theirs, otherwise you are simply a hypocrite.

Jay,
Who the hell do you think you are to admite your own illiteracy and ignorance entitles you to:
a) incorrectly assume my command of the English language implies disrespect and,
b) hypocrytically be disrespectful enough to assume you have any authority or right to make such aggressive statements towards me. You might like to read the fifth amendment ... something to do with freedom of speech; for EVERYONE!

Troubled Joe, it is not a contradiction. That is what is colloquially referred to as a "typo", a simple typing error. Self-contradiction would imply the content (semantics) of my discourse negated my own assumptions.
However, I have hands and fingers just as you do and a hastily typed response without careful proof reading is bound to be susceptible to the occassionally mistyped character.
Does that clarify your "smart" answer?

Troubled Joe, correction of your interpretation again: I mere asked (albeit rhetorically so) WHY people must post such questions so in fact your statement is still inaccurate.
However, you make a fair point, if we have free speech why censor anyone regardless of their hatred, ignorance, bigotry and aggression?
True, the blinkered literal interpretation would be mutually exclusive, but the nature of society is such that people have to work and/or live together. The principle of the fifth amendment (I presume you are not American or you would undoubtedly be aware of such statute) is to advocate freedom, but with freedom and liberty comes responsibility. That is, responsibility to respect OTHER people's liberties too. Hence, expression of an idea which advocates uninvited harm and aggression toward another subset of society runs contrary to the idea of true freedom. (e.g. society does not tolerate theives as their "theiving liberty" infringes someone else's liberty). Capiche?

I completely understand and agree with what you are saying. Questions from ill-informed louts are not unique to transsexual issues. They are everywhere throughout Y!A. There are so many ignorant, illiterate people on here that I end up wondering how much longer our society can sustain itself.

if you are so worried on what people call you,
you are not better then them
educate and express why these things are wrong
some times you can not run away from the truth
i was a man, now i am in between, and i soon hope to a woman
no one else matters to me
and those that try to insult me take no sh!t from me
i am who i am
if they don't like it that is there problem
if i do get some one calling me a shemale or shem
i correct them by telling them
i am a m2f pre op transsexual and explain why i am who i am
as for the English yahoo q/a is a world wide site
spelling of words in English is different around the world
and those that do not speak English every day also use this site
not every one is a walking dictionary
inform people and people will not be ill informed

I didn't realize that appealed to the Democrats, if so, they would have figured out a long time ago that not one, but MANY associations point to who a person is. They would realize "winning" a war isn't like winning a basketball game...it is defined in terms of the state you leave the war zone in and the path of their future. (simply leaving means we will have to go back later) Furthermore, you are all okay with Barry invading two other places. (money on war will still be tremendous, just shifted) Distribution of wealth has never taken place on the scale that Barry wants it to. The justification that we already have socialism is a lame excuse for taking a country that has a mixed economy and turning it into a welfare state.

To be honest with you I totally agree with what you are saying. Some people show a complete lack of consideration and intelligence. Yes, we don't always want to be serious and over sensitive about who we are as people. However I think a little self respect and consideration for others wouldn't go amiss. It is a little like a high school priactical joker who tells a joke and gets a laugh from a few people so keeps on teliing the same joke over and over and over to the point were you could scream at them to shut up!

I'm impressed with your question and your response to the ignorance and prejudice that people have towards transsexuals.
My new Auntie (old uncle) was cruelly treated by such a person.
She found this extremely embarrassing and not to mention hurtful. I can only say that nobody has the right to treat another in this way.Regardless of your opinion.

you've contradicted yourself you clown. what does "admite" mean?
no, you stated that you wish people would stop posting these questions.
you then mention the fifth amendment(whatever that is) and freedom of speech. therefore folk can ask/answer what they wish. people can say whatever they want, bigoted or not.
no. you said "do no use yahoo to advocate your own bigotry".
because you personally find a view bigoted, does not mean it is. dress it up however you want. you are trying to deny folk freedom of speech. this is, and will remain my interpretation of your question no matter how you try to justify it. thank you.
