I saw it. I liked it. Now a year or so later I read a well thought out comment that practically everyone who was an "expert" in the movie actually works in some way or had already been connected to JZ Knight and her weird organization. (here is a skeptics' view of her):

The water crystals project- what they don't tell you is that they get about 1 in 50 to look like "something" pertaining to the word put on the label, and that is the one used in the example.

What the bleep is an elaborate infomercial for JZ Knight and her organization.

Quantum Physics IS amazing however, and I love to learn all I can about it.

I would like to add that I agree- yes the world COULD change, and it DOES begin with our thoughts. But enough of us would all have to change our thoughts at the same time to start the Great Shift of Change.

Meh. The Maharishi Institute/University/Whatever, which produced the movie, is highly unscientific. Some time ago, they announced that they were going to perform a Transcendental Meditation exercise which would supposedly reduce the violent crime rate in a certain area. The problem with that was that, during the time they said there would be a crime decrease, the violent crime rate actually tripled what it usually was. I'm not sure what to think of the Emoto photographs, but the Power Behind the Movie certainly lacks credibility.

The movie was original in its presentation and stepped outside of mainstream movies and outside of mainstream ideas. So of course it's getting mixed reviews. The personalities attached to it turned alot of people off because some of their views were.... out there. So what.... people post on Yahoo answers all the time that aren't credible.... so what....

There are good scientific basis(s) for the concepts in this film. Ever heard of Chaos Theory? Theoretical physicist can't define where reality ends and thoughts begin.... or put another way.... physicist know the observer affects the experiment.... so when someone says there was no science in this... they don't know theoretical science very well. :0)

My husband and I have watched this movie several times. I've used quotes from it for readings at our church, too. It's so hard to wrap my brain around some of the stuff they talk about, but once I get it, it's all stuff I already knew and didn't have the words. Fantastic movie and way of thinking. I subscribe to "The Bleeping Herald" online newsletter.

As a senior studying physics and heading to graduate school next year, this movie truly offended me. Not only are most of the things they say blatently disregarding known science, they scew up the REAL science and make it seem like something it's not. The representation of quantum physics in this movie is so far off base... most of their ideas are based off of common MISCONCEPTIONS regarding quation physics. It's sad to me, because a lot of my friends watch this and think it's the greatest thing ever, without bothering to research what the movie is saying to find out the truth. If you were to do that, you would find out that most of what the movie is saying is pure BS. In true science, publications in a peer reviewed journal are what holds weight. In this case, most of what they say is just speculation and has not been peer reviewed. Any crackpot can come up with a theory, it doens't mean it is scientifically accurate.

For the record, this movie is not science. This movie is PSEUDOSCIENCE cult propoganda.

The sad thing about quantum physics is that it is so complex, it often is used to promote this pseudoscience. If you would take teh time to learn about quantum physics, you would understand WHY this is just total BS. Read Brian Greene's the elegant universe for an interesting take on all of it, it's a well written book that can be handled by people without a science background.

The problem is that if you don't understand quantum physics, it is difficult to determine where the real science ends and the speculation begins. In this movie, they often start with scientific knowledge, then go off on a tangent so far away with what is currently accepted, that it cannot possibly be taken seriously by anyone in academia.

People who believe this nonsense should be outraged. The creators of this film are using you. They are preying upon the natural human curiosity for the unexplainable. This film makes ME angry because it misrepresents science. It's sad to me.

This movie not only angers me, but frustrates me to no end. As a scientist, and a curious human being, I have this inborn drive to seek truth. If you tell me something, I won't accept it untill I do research on my own- and anyone who has conducted real research will tell you that most websites have no merit, because people on a website can tell you anything they want. Read books, learn facts, talk to people who understand the stuff. THEN decide if you believe it. Dont' base your beliefs off of one movie. base them off a collection of facts, a collection of facts that YOU YOURSELF have collected.

The link I have added is from the american institute of Physics. I hold their information very highly. They publish peer reviewed journals and actively seek the truth in Physics. Please take this movie as a chance for you to learn the truth and not simply believe what you are told.

EDIT: Apparently I wasn't clear enough :) I didn't say there was no science in this film, I just said the conclusions they drew weren't credible. They start with the foundations of scientific theory and then go off in some crazy direction that has nothing to do with science. I fully understand chaos theory, and the observer expecting the experiment, and all of that, but if you truly understood those experiments and what was occuring, you woudln't be relating that to this movies off the wall ideas. It is not the job of physics to explain consciousness, and when people apply a lot of these physics ideas to these things, it's going way outside of the realm of what the theory is supposed to do. Just because you can't explain something, doesn't mean it's mystical. By the way, chaos theory is highly misinterpreted. Chaos is an explanation for how a system with known results can result in an unpredictable way. Just beucase it's unpredictable, however, doesn't mean it can explain supernatural things. Chaos, in most cases, does have a clearly defined structure. Chaos and randomness are not the same. A chaotic system is simply very dependant upon the intitial conditions, the initial physical conditions, physics still does apply here, you can't just throw in whatever you want.

Furthermore, read about the scientists who were interviewed. It's quite interesting. Apparently, in some of the interviews, what they meant and what was portrayed in the video was completely different. Some of them were even OUTRAGED at the movie and how their ideas were portrayed. Don't believe everything you hear. This has nothing to do with physics, this has to do with complete crap. Theoretical crap, not theoretical physics. Sorry. It's fun to believe in that stuff, but it's fairy tales.

Believe what you want, but understand that this movie is not science.

How far into the movie was that?! I watched for almost 40 minutes and was bored to tears. I have never been so disappointed. I'd heard such good things. :(

i thought it was interesting but the animation looked kind of cheesy. They should redo it in a few years with more info and a better budget.
