I just googled it and a reference to the case came up - not much of one, granted, but it was there if you were looking for the case reference - (1886) 33 Ch D 85.

It will be in the Chancery Division Law Reports for 1886 if you have access to a law library. Or you will be able to access it if your Uni subscribes to Westlaw or Lexis. You can subscribe yourself but why pay for it if you don't have to? Your uni should give you the Athens password.

The only places that I would know that would carry the information on such an old case would either be the Lexis-Nexis Law Libraries which go back very far. Yetstill they may not go back THAT far. Then the only alternatives that I imagine would have it is the New York Public Librarian or the Law Librarian of Washington DC.
I hope these resources help

By the sound of it, this looks like it refers to the Forest of Dean. In that case, I would try the Gloucestershire Record Office, which I think is at Alvin Street, Gloucester.
