There was this movie "The bicentennial man" starring Robin Williams if I'm not mistaking. He was this android robot that developed a free will and wanted to be human because he had emotions... but they wouldn't declare him human because he was immortal...
So... to answer your question. I think nonhuman would be when you can't die of natural causes anymore (i.e old age, disease, etc).
But see the movie...it's really good. I liked it.
